About Me

I have a problem…a serious problem and it starts with cake. Not just cake if I’m being honest. It involves biscuits, and fudge and whoopee pies, meringues and gingerbread houses (oh I love gingerbread houses!). It doesn’t stop with tiffin or brownies, traybake or cookies. Making and sharing what I bake with family and friends makes me one of those happy, smiley people you see bouncing along the street. Seriously!
I love al things cake, bake and confectionary so much I wear it as jewellery, I have cake shoes, cake nail polish and on my Christmas List are those fabulous biscuit cushions that keep popping up on trendy home accessory pages. I have even rewritten the first verse to Bruno Mars “Uptown Funk” to be about cakes and currently trying to convince friends to help me shoot a video for Youtube….watch this space!

I am also the mummy to two extraordinary boys (I’m allowed to be bias); 2yr and 5yrs, who make me laugh (and cry and shout) every day. Being a mum is not easy but I wouldn’t change it for the world, although a hot cuppa and an uninterrupted wee occasionally would be nice! This blog will constantly include the boys, how I try to organise and entertain them with both baking and crafty projects. I thought that it may just be useful to someone out there like me.

Boring Bit About Me:

I am a self taught baker, having baked celebration cakes for my self employed business for last 3 and half years (although this has taken a back seat to the boys and this blog). I do have a degree in Business Studies as I didn’t follow my creative side when leaving school but hey! hindsight is a wonderful thing. I used to be a Letting Agent (yes, thats right)  before becoming self employed.
Married to Mr R. for 6 1/2 years, who is my best friend and best supporter. He is also chief taste tester along with my boys and my neighbours The Owens!

I am also a MumsNet member and will pop up reviews of products/services on here with a view to share my experiences.
